This book draws from moral theology to enhance understanding of the criteria for assessing moral actions and the development of the moral agent. It responds to Fr. Norbert Rigali SJ’s insightful observation that moral theology and pastoral practice complement each other, forming a mutually beneficial relationship rather than opposing forces. This perspective also aligns with the moral and pastoral vision of Pope Francis, who embraces the intertwined nature of theology and practice in fostering deeper, more compassionate spiritual growth and action within the church.
