NOW WE’RE COPING

A holistic journey through strategies for coping with life. It combines spiritually-based stances with real-life and business-based experiences, considering a wide range of techniques, applications and philosophies. It is based on the belief that a focus on the present or now, with a cross-relationship to positive future strategy planning where relevant, helps the individual establish and progress coping abilities. Its major intention is to awaken and empower the reader to take personal control of his/her situations in life by experimenting with the variety of stances presented. Some will undoubtedly work better than others for each individual – with some effort, a personal strategy will evolve for each engaged reader. It takes a general approach, encompassing health, family, work and personal issues, in the belief that there is often a holistic link merging the various causes and effects together – with a selected coping strategy often working best where all related aspects have been addressed. Many of the chapters are stand-alone, dealing with subject areas such as living in the now, sound in healing, communicating positively and coping with time constraints, which makes the book equally appropriate for in-depth reading and referencing specific subject areas. The later chapters focus the reader, through a range of examples and exercises, onto evolving their own personal self-help strategies, either generally or to meet specific challenges.
