The Examen has been at the centre of Jesuit life for centuries. A simple prayer, it directs us to find God in our daily experience. With practice, we can learn to discern how God is conversing with us in the ups and downs of our day. Feelings of frustration and joy and daily encounters with family, friends, colleagues and even strangers, become the basis of a daily conversation with God.
